Drywall construction uses plasterboard and other prefabricated elements on a metal frame. It suits almost every type of room. Because there is no bricklaying or plastering, the work is quicker and cleaner, and you can use the room again soon.
Advantages of drywall
- faster construction: no waiting for anything to dry, so the work is finished sooner
- thermal insulation: with insulation in walls and ceilings, the room loses less heat in winter and heats up less in summer
- sound insulation: the right boards and insulation give good soundproofing
- damp rooms: moisture-resistant boards for bathrooms and rooms prone to mould
- easy repairs: the boards are durable, and damage is repaired quickly without major work
- recyclable materials: plasterboard and metal profiles can be recycled
What we build with drywall
- Partition walls: a quick way to divide a room, with built-in sliding doors, space for services and extra sound insulation if you wish.
- Attics: living or office space under the roof, with insulation and preparation for services.
- Suspended ceilings: hide wiring and ventilation, level uneven ceilings and allow built-in lights.
- Wall linings and dry plastering: boards on a frame or glued directly to the wall give a flat surface with no drying time.
- Niches and shelves: built-in shelves, TV niches and bathroom shelves.
Drywall and stretch ceilings
Plasterboard and stretch ceilings work well together. Plasterboard forms an edge or a level, and the stretch ceiling covers the larger area without skimming or painting. The result is a two-level ceiling with hidden lighting.
